Birches Group is pleased to announce its strategic partnership with the Belize Chamber of Commerce and Industry based in Belize City, Belize. As the largest private sector membership organization in Belize, the BCCI has been consistently championing the causes of its private sector constituency and considers among its primary objectives the social and economic development of Belize through the development of all sectors of industry, commerce and services. The BCCI currently boasts a fluctuating membership of three hundred and fifty businesses from a wide cross-section of the agricultural, productive, service and industrial sectors.
Under this partnership, BCCI will co-sponsor Birches’ multisector survey and help promote survey participation to all their clients and other Belizean entities. Together, both entities will also be exploring possible compensation management training events, webinars and other activities to provide professional development opportunities for HR practitioners in Belize.
In commenting on the partnership, Kim Aikman, Chief Executive Director of BCCI, said
the BCCI is committed to improving the economic landscape of Belize and is always exploring avenues that will benefit its members. We are excited about this partnership which wil assist in data gathering enabling businesses to make informed data driven decisions
While Julienne Sayoc, Manager for Private Sector Business Development for Birches Group, added:
We’ve seen how companies in Belize are struggling to get access to a reliable labor market data. They rely mostly on anecdotal stories from peers and sometimes, HR is tasked to carry out their own informal salary surveys. Without a proper methodology, results might come as inconsistent and unreliable. As BCCI champions for the creating meaningful connections between members and service providers and capacitating their members in order to thrive in a rapidly changing world, this partnership would bring in synergies that would allow Birches Group to share its expertise in talent management solutions while expanding its footprint in Belize. BCCI in turn could provide a reliable support to members who are looking for a consistent, data-driven approach to compensation management.
