BIRCHES GROUP ANNOUNCES COMPLETION OF COMPENSATION SURVEYS IN 28 COUNTRIES

New York, N.Y. – July 24, 2009  –  Birches Group LLC has announced the publication of 2009 total compensation survey results in 28 countries. The surveys were completed during the months of May, June and July, 2009, and include nine countries in Central and Eastern Europe; eight countries in Africa; four countries in the Middle East; plus additional markets in the Asian, Latin American, Caribbean and South Pacific regions.

The surveys include information on base salary, cash allowances, in-kind benefits and variable pay, as well as prevelence information for benefit programs such as pensions, health care and leave benefits. Detailed summaries of social security, labour code practices, tax schemes and exchange rate trends are also included in the reports. Survey participants include leading employers across all sectors in the market.

The surveyed countries are: Barbados, Belarus, Congo, Ethiopia, Gambia, Guyana, Iran, Jamaica, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Lao, Lebanon, Malta, Moldova, Mozambique, Namibia, Nepal, Romania, Saõ Tomé and Principe, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Tajikistan, Tonga, Tunisia and Uzbekistan.
